Senegal forward Sadio Mané is regarded as one of the best current footballers from Africa. 

He currently plays for Bayern Munich.

In 2022 he joined the German club from Liverpool, with whom he won the UEFA Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020.

He has also won the UEFA Super Cup and World Club Cup, and in 2019 and 2022 was named African footballer of the year.

Fred is a Brazilian footballer who plays in the Premier League for Manchester United.

He was named in the Brazilian World Cup squad in 2018 and won the Ukrainian Premier League three times at his former club Shakhtar Donetsk.

John Stones is an English central defender who currently plays for Manchester City.

He has won the Premier League four times, in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022, and was a member of England's FIFA World Cup squad in Russia in 2018.

His move in 2016 from Everton to Manchester City, for £47.5 million, made him the second most expensive defender in history at the time.

English centre back John Terry is one of the most famous players in the history of Chelsea.

He made nearly 500 appearances for the London-based club, many as captain, and won the Premier League five times.

Terry also won the UEFA Champions League in 2012 and the UEFA Europa League in 2013. He made 78 appearances for England and ended his career at Aston Villa.

Individually, Terry was named UEFA Club Defender of the Year three times.

Douglas Costa is a Brazilian winger who plays for LA Galaxy.

He previously represented Italian giants Juventus, German side Bayern Munich and Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk, after moving to Europe from Brazilian club Gremio.

Costa has won league titles in Ukraine, Germany and Italy and has been capped more than 30 times by Brazil.

Harry Maguire is a centre back for the England national team and Manchester United.

He previously represented Leicester City before moving to his current club for a believed fee of around £80 million, which made him the world's most expensive defender.

Maguire scored in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup in 2018 as England beat Sweden 2-0.

David Beckham is one of the world's most recognisable footballers from any era, with his influence and stature transcending the sport.

The English midfielder made his name at Manchester United and went on to represent some of the planet's most famous clubs, with spells at Real Madrid, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

He also spent five years in the United States with LA Galaxy and is now the co-owner of MLS side Inter Miami after his retirement in 2013.

Career highlights include the UEFA Champions League with Manchester United in 1999, while he won league titles in England, Spain, France and the US.

He was capped 115 times by England and was famous for his bending free-kicks.

William Gallas is a former France international who had spells with Marseille, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur during his career.

In October 2017, Gallas represented France alongside Christian Karembeu during a demonstration of teqball at SPORTELMonaco.

They played against Portugal's Luis Figo and Simão Sabrosa.

Earlier that same year, Gallas and Nigeria’s Nwankwo Kanu were among those in attendance on the finals evening at the inaugural Teqball World Cup in Budapest, where the pair participated in a gala indoor football game.

"If we had a teqball table in our time, I believe we could have developed our skills to a higher level and achieved even more success," Gallas said.

Luís Figo is a retired Portuguese midfielder who played for Sporting CP, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan before retiring in May 2009.

He won the Ballon d'Or in 2000 and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2001.

"It is a new and exciting sport," Figo, who played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid and was capped 127 times for Portugal, said of teqball.

"In our generation we did not have the chance to have the quality of these tables.

"We used to have to use makeshift pitches in dressing rooms, but now teqball exists.

"I think it can be used not only in the dressing room but you can do it in the park and around schools and I think it will stay in the market.

"I am happy to try the sport and help its development."

Robert Pires played for French clubs Metz and Marseille prior to his time with Arsenal, where he won two FA Cups and two Premier League titles.

His second Premier League title came in the 2003-2004, when Arsenal went unbeaten throughout the season. 

A former France international, Pires earned 79 caps between 1996 and 2004 for his country and won the FIFA World Cup in 1998 and UEFA European Championship in 2000.

The 45-year-old was among the special guests at the 2018 Teqball World Cup in Reims in France and he is hoping to promote the sport so much that it one day earns a place on the Olympic programme.

Carles Puyol played his entire career for Barcelona, predominantly as a central defender.

He was Barcelona's captain from August 2004 until his retirement in 2014 and won six La Liga trophies and three UEFA Champions League titles.

Puyol amassed 100 caps for Spain and was part of the squads that triumphed at the UEFA European Championship in 2008 and FIFA World Cup in 2010.

Nuno Gomes is a former Portuguese professional international who played as a forward.

He spent most of his career with Benfica and represented Portugal in two FIFA World Cups and three UEFA European Championships.

Simão Sabrosa is a former Portuguese international who played mainly as a left winger.

Having played in Portugal for two of the three biggest teams in the nation, Benfica and Sporting CP, he also spent several years of his career in Spain, notably with Atlético Madrid. 

He won the 2004–2005 national championship with Benfica and the 2010 UEFA Europa League with Atlético Madrid, among other accolades.

Christian Karembeu is a former French international footballer and the current sporting director of Greek club Olympiacos.

Karembeu played for several clubs during his career, including Sampdoria, Spanish giants Real Madrid and Olympiacos.

He won the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid in 1998 and 2000, starting in the final of the former edition but remaining on the bench for the latter.

Nicolas Anelka is a former French international who played as a forward. 

Anelka began his career at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) before moving to Arsenal in 1997.

He won the Premier League and FA Cup double in his first season at Arsenal before transferring to Real Madrid at the end of his second campaign.

Anelka started the UEFA Champions League final in 2000 as Real Madrid beat Spanish rivals Valencia 3-0.

He did not settle in well at the club though and returned to PSG in July of that year.

Despite getting regular first team football in the French capital, Anelka moved on loan to Liverpool in January 2002.

He joined Manchester City, however, at the start of the 2002-2003 campaign prior to spells at numerous other clubs, including Fenerbache and Chelsea.

While with Chelsea, Anelka won the Premier League and FA Cup double in 2009-2010 and an FA Cup the season before. 

Jari Litmanen is a former Finland captain and is widely considered to be his country's greatest football player of all time.

During his club career, Litmanen most notably represented Ajax, Barcelona and Liverpool.

His time at Ajax saw him win the UEFA Champions League in 1995, which marked the peak year of his career, and five Dutch league titles.

Gianfranco Zola is a former Italian international who played predominantly as a forward. 

He spent the first decade of his playing career in Italy, most notably with Napoli, alongside Diego Maradona, where he was able to win the Serie A title, and at Parma, where he won the Italian Super Cup and the UEFA Cup. 

Zola later moved to English side Chelsea, where he won two FA Cups and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup among other honours.

In 2003, he was voted Chelsea's greatest player ever.

Henk ten Cate is a Dutch football manager and former professional player.

In the 2005-2006 season, he was assistant to Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona when the team won the UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles. 

He then served as manager of Ajax until October 2007 and won three trophies for the Dutch club.

Speaking about teqball, Ten Cate says: "It's like training without knowing you are training."

Marco Materazzi is a former Italian international, playing as a defender.

Early in his career, Materazzi played with various Italian teams in Serie B and Serie C, and with Everton in the English Premier League. 

He spent two periods with Perugia, from 1995 to 1998 and from 1999 to 2001, and signed for Inter Milan in 2001. 

At club level, he won a number of major honors with Inter, including five Serie A league titles in a row from 2006 to 2010, one UEFA Champions League, one FIFA Club World Cup, four Coppa Italia titles, and four Supercoppa Italiana crowns.

Materazzi was part of Italy's FIFA World Cup-winning team in 2006, scoring in the first-half of the match that finished 1-1 after extra time and then successfully converting his penalty in the shootout as the Azzurri triumphed 5-3. 

Erwin Koeman is an ex-Dutch international.

His younger brother is Ronald, whom he played alongside for The Netherlands.

Ronald Koeman is a former Dutch international who was manager of Barcelona between 2020 and 2021.

He also managed the Dutch national team between 2018 and 2020.

During his playing career with The Netherlands, Koeman won the 1988 UEFA European Championship and played at the 1990 and 1994 FIFA World Cups, captaining the team at the latter.

He won the Dutch Eredivise with Ajax in the 1984-1985 season before joining the club's rivals PSV Eindhoven, where he won three consecutive league titles and the European Cup in 1988.

In 1989, Koeman transferred to Barcelona and helped the club win La Liga four years in a row between 1991 and 1994, and the European Cup, where he scored the winning goal of the final against Sampdoria in 1992.

Speaking about teqball, Koeman says it is "not football's rival but rather its complement".

Ossie Ardiles is a former Argentina international who won the 1978 FIFA World Cup.

Ardiles spent much of his club career in England with Tottenham Hotspur, signing in 1978 and leaving 10 years later.

He won the FA Cup in 1981 and the UEFA Cup in 1984.

Carlos Alberto Torres is a former Brazilian international and is widely regarded as one of the best defenders of all time. 

He captained his country to victory at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, scoring in the final with what is considered one of the greatest goals in the history of the tournament.

Ronaldinho is a Brazilian football icon who in his peak was regarded as one of the world’s best players.

The attacking midfielder won the FIFA World Cup in 2002 with Brazil and also won the Copa America and Confederations Cup with his national side.

At the Beijing 2008 Olympics he won a bronze medal and he represented some of the biggest clubs in the world during his career, including Flamengo, Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona and Milan.

He won the UEFA Champions League with Barcelona in 2006 and will now take part in a series of worldwide teqball events, to raise its profile and encourage more people to take up the sport.

“I’ve been playing teqball for a long time, I love the technical aspect of it and how it helps to improve your football skills,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to working with teqball to help grow interest in the sport and hope it’s soon included in the Olympics because then I might have the chance to become an Olympic champion.”

Brazilian winger Willian currently plays in the Premier League for Fulham after leaving Corinthians in his homeland.

He won the Premier League twice with Chelsea, in 2015 and 2017, and the UEFA Europa League in 2019.

Willian also played a season with Arsenal between 2020 and 2021.

At international level he won the 2019 Copa America with Brazil.

Nigerian striker Nwankwo Kanu is one of Africa's most famous footballers.

Before his retirenement in 2012 he played for some of Europe's most well-known clubs, including Arsenal, Inter Milan and Ajax.

He won two Dutch titles with Ajax, the UEFA Cup with Inter and the Premier League twice with Arsenal.

Kanu also won Olympic gold with Nigeria at Atlanta 1996, and the Under-17 World Cup in 1993.

He was named African Footballer of the Year twice.

Brazilian forward Neymar is one of the world's most famous footballers and currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain.

His 2017 move to France from Barcelona was worth €222 million, making him the most expensive player ever.

Neymar's honours include the Champions League and two La Liga titles in Spain, and four Ligue 1 titles in France.

At Brazil's home Rio 2016 Olympics he was a star name and scored the winning penalty as the hosts beat Germany in a shoot-out for gold.

Brazilian left-back Marcelo made more than 500 appearances for Spanish giants Real Madrid after joining them in 2007.

He has won the UEFA Champions League five times, the FIFA Club World Cup four times and La Liga six times.

For Brazil he won Olympic silver at London 2012 and bronze at Beijing 2008.

In 2022, he announced that he would be leaving Madrid after 15 years.

He is viewed as one of the greatest left-backs of all time and is the most decorated player in the history of the Spanish club, winning 25 trophies.

Lothar Matthäus is the most capped German player of all-time having played 150 times for his country before his retirement.

He held the record of appearing at five FIFA World Cups until 2018 when he was matched by Mexico's Rafael Marquez.

Matthäus won the World Cup once, in Italy in 1990, as well as the European Championship in 1980.

At club level the defensive midfielder represented European giants Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, winning the German title seven times and the Italian title once.

He won the UEFA Cup twice and won the Balon D'or in 1990.

Landon Donovan is considered one of the greatest American footballers of all time.

The forward was capped 157 times by his country and holds numerous individual records in Major League Soccer.

He won the CONCACAF Gold Cup four times and played for clubs in Europe including Bayern Munich and Everton.

Davor Suker is one of the greatest footballers ever produced by Croatia.

The striker was part of the country's team which finished third at the 1998 World Cup in France, where he won the golden boot.

Suker played for clubs including Real Madrid and Arsenal, winning La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.

Brazilian centre back David Luiz currently plays in his home country with Flamengo.

He won the Premier League title with Chelsea in 2017 and has also won national titles in Portugal and France with Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain.

With Chelsea he also won the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League twice.

He won the Confederations Cup with Brazil in 2013.

Before his move to Flamengo, Luiz played for Arsenal.

David Dein is the former co-owner and vice-chairman of Arsenal and the former vice-chairman of the Football Association.

He is now an ambassador for the Premier League and an international ambassador for the FA.

Dein has had various roles at FIFA and UEFA and was also the President of the G-14 group of European football clubs.

Pál Dárdai is a retired Hungarian footballer who was capped 61 times by his national team.

The midfielder played most of his career in Germany with Hertha BSC.

He was named Hungarian footballer of the year in 2006.

Aymeric Laporte is a centre back currently playing in the Premier League with Manchester City.

He has won the Premier League four times and also played in Spain for Athletic Bilbao.

Although he was born in France, Laporte represents Spain internationally.
