SEPTEMBER 24 - LONDON 2012 tier-one sponsor Lloyds TSB said that it had no plans yet to include HBOS, which it took over last week for £12.2 billion, in its Olympic sponsorship yet.

JULY 14 - LAND ROVER have made an advert to promote their support of Britain's Olympic eventing team featuring Zara Phillips, even though she has been forced to withdraw from the squad because of an injury to her horse.

May 20 - Adidas have extended their sponsorship of UK Athletics beyond London 2012, today unveiling new Great Britain & Northern Ireland team kit to be used at this year's World Championships in Berlin.

MARCH 4 - MOLTEN, the world’s leading basketball manufacturer, has renewed its sponsorship of all Great Britain Basketball’s international teams for a second term, they have announced.

August 20 - Tokyo have announced that they have signed up three new sponsors to take their total to 17 as the vote to decide which city will follow London 2012 and host the 2016 Olympics rapidly approaches.

March 30 - The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has signed up Deloitte as a new sponsor, a deal that will involve them sponsoring the US teams to compete at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics.

February 17 - Olympic champions Sir Chris Hoy (pictured) and Denise Lewis today launched British Airways’ bid to find the next generation of Great Britons during a special ceremony at Heathrow Airport.

August 4 - Cadbury have signed a new sponsorship deal with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) for the Winter Games in Vancouver next year and London 2012, it has been announced.

July 22 - The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and Adecco have extened their co-operation to deliver the "Athlete Career Programme" to Paralympic athletes until the London 2012 Games, it was announced today.
