Germany's Sebastian Koerdel and Emma Wilson of Britain have taken the lead in the men's and women's division at the iQFOiL World Championships in Brest after the second day of racing.

Koerdel continued his blistering form from yesterday's opening races as he secured three wins and one second place finish in France.

For the time being, he has discarded the silver medal result from his total leaving him with a net score of 10.

The rest of the chasing pack all dropped off giving the German a healthy cushion.

Nicolò Renna of Italy occupies second place on 31 points.

He started the day well with a third-place finish on the opening race but that was to be his only podium as he crossed the line in 12th, eighth, and 14th, with the last result discarded.

Israeli Tom Reuveny makes up the top three with 33 points following three top-ten finishes, in ninth, seventh, and 10th.

He threw away an 18th place from the penultimate race to bring down his net points.

Wilson leads the women's competition with 17 points as she finished second, second and first with a 24th-place discard sandwiched between the runner-up performances.

Shahar Tibi of Israel and The Netherlands' Lilian De Geus follow behind with 24 and 33 points, respectively.

Neither were able to step onto the podium today which allowed Wilson to develop the seven-point gap.
