Daniela Moroz of the United States and Toni Vodisek of Slovenia continued to top the women’s and men’s table at the Formula Kite World Championships in Cagliari.

On Friday, Vodisek managed two first place finishes and one second place finish to total 38 points and maintain the advantage at the top.

However, Maximilian Maeder of Singapore eclipsed Axel Mazella of France by a narrow margin in second place.

Maeder sits on 32 points with two first places and two second places.

With a fourth, sixth, third and seventh place finish, Mazella is third on 31 points.

Denis Taradin, who occupied the third spot overall yesterday, was pushed back to ninth after today’s races.

Among women, Moroz bagged three first place finishes and 34 points to maintain her lead.

The second place also remained unchanged as Lauriane Nolot of France scored 14 points after a first place and two second place finishes.

Third on the women’s table is Nolot’s compatriot Poema Newland.

Newland managed to climb up the ladder after Leonie Meyer of Germany, who finished at third spot yesterday, had a day to forget.

At the end of the day,  Meyer had to settle for the seventh spot on the table.
