Speaking at a meeting of the Board, held in Jakarta, the organisation's chair Hellen Sarita de Lima also thanked the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) for its support by sending coaches to help improve teqball within Indonesia, as reported by Tribun News.

"FITEQ's attention in sending this coach is inseparable from the hard work of all PP InaTeq and InaTeq officials in developing the sport of teqball for eight months since its launch in March 2020," said Sarita de Lima.

"So, I would like to thank all PP InaTeq and InaTeq officials."

FITEQ is due to send coaches to assist the Indonesian teqball national team's training programme with the country planning to send teams to compete in teqball at the Asian Beach Games, due to take place in Sanya, China in April 2021 and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, scheduled to take place in Thailand in May 2021.

Indonesia has seven teqball clubs that carry out regular training and potential national team players will initially be recruited from those teams.

Inspector General Pol Teddy Minahara, InaTeq's Sport Development Manager said the organisation had compiled programmes to assist coaches and referees with preparing players.

"Sport Development InaTeq has compiled a quality improvement programme for athletes, coaches and referees," said Minahara.

"We have also received direct information from FITEQ who sent coaches in two terms. 

"The first team coach will be sent around December 2020 and will carry out a national training programme for six weeks while the second term will be sent again at the beginning of the year."

As part of efforts to develop teqball in Indonesia, FITEQ has previously sent various instructors, who hosted a refereeing course featuring 20 participants.

The course explained the sport of teqball and various match regulations.
