Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club dominates Mother of the Nation Jiu-Jitsu Cup

H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, honoured the winners of the Mother of the Nation Jiu-Jitsu Cup in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. The event, held at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City over the weekend, saw top-ranked female athletes testing their skills against each other across multiple divisions, including Adult, Under-18, Under-16, and the newly introduced Under-14.

The first ever Chinese SAMBO Championship among students was held in Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province from December 3 to 7. More than 200 athletes from 30 universities across the country took part in the tournament organised by the Chinese University Sports Association.

The 16th memorial of Dr. Pranciškaus Eigminas was held in Lithuania on December 9-10. Fighters from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Armenia, the United States of America, Tajikistan, Spain, Holland, Germany, Israel, Poland and Finland took part in the annual sambo tournament.

Mexico will seek the last place for Paris 2024 para taekwondo tournament

Team Mexico secured five places from six for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Taekwondo tournament during the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Final 2023 in Manchester. Jessica García (52 kg), Claudia Romero (47), Fernanda Vargas (+67), Luis Mario Nájera (80 kg) and reigning Paralympic champion Juan Diego García (70 kg) were among the best six athletes in their weight categories, which allowed them to qualify for Paris 2024.
