Swimmer McKeown swam the fourth-fastest 400m individual medley in history at the Australian Championships on Thursday, stopping the clock in 4 minutes 28.22 seconds. The 22-year-old will compete in the 200m at Paris 2024. Despite her medal ambitions, she has no plans to compete in the 400m.

The United Arab Emirates have added 48 medals to their tally. They have demonstrated their dominance in jiu-jitsu with 23 medals and a strong start in chess. The Palestinian Football Association (PFA) will present a motion at the FIFA Congress in Bangkok in May. The motion calls for "appropriate sanctions to be taken against Israeli teams with immediate effect". The initiative is the result of a letter from the PFA to FIFA in March. The Congress is being held in Bangkok.
