The first day of U18 mixed martial arts competition at the 2024 GAMMA European Championships has come to a close with the U18 preliminaries, quarter-finals and semi-finals completed.

Hosted by the Slovak MMA Association (SOMMA) at the Bellevue Hotel in Vysoké Tatry, Slovakia, the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts youth tournament heads into the finals on Wednesday for the U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s age categories. 

The U12s and U14s bouts will take place on the tatami from 11:00 CEST, followed by the awards ceremony. The U16s and U18s finals will follow in the MMA Arena from 14:30 CEST and also conclude with medal ceremonies.

The Senior and Striking MMA tournaments will begin on Friday 17 and run until Sunday 19. Conducted under amateur MMA rules to suit the tournament format, the senior competitions are open to professional fighters, raising the level of competition.
