Anna Odine Stroem finished first in women's HS100 qualifying on the second day of The International Ski and Snowboard Federation Nordic World Ski Championships at Planica, Slovenia.

The three-time World Championship bronze medallist finished with a distance of 99 metres, as she topped qualifying with 123.2 points.

Germany's Katharina Althaus was only 0.2 points behind Stroem as she finished with 123 points, achieving a distance of 98.5 metres.

Althaus is a four-time World Championship gold medallist, with three golds in mixed ski jumping, and one in team ski jumping.

She also came second in the individual ski jumping at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics.

Yuki Ito of Japan finished third with a total score of 122.3 points, edging Alexandria Louttit of Canada, who ended with 121 points.

The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships are set to conclude on March 5, with the final of the Women's HS100 event scheduled for tomorrow.
