De Groot looked strong again in the women's singles quarter-finals, beating Momoko Ohtani 6-4, 6-0.

There was one upset today - Dutch third seed Aniek van Koot was eliminated in three sets by Manami Tanaka of Japan 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

On the other side of the bracket, Japanese second seed Yui Kamiji thrashed American Dana Mathewson 6-0, 6-2; and now takes on Dutch fourth seed Jiske Griffioen, who came through three long sets against China's Zhu Zhenzhen 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

Top seeds in the men's wheelchair doubles, Martín de la Puente of Spain and Gustavo Fernández of Argentina who played against each other in the singles, were knocked out in the quarter-finals after losing 7-5, 7-5 to Dutch duo Maikel Scheffers and Ruben Spaargaren.

Kgothatso Montjane of South Africa and Manami Tanaka from Japan won 6-2, 6-3 against Japanese pair Shiori Funamizu and Saki Takamuro on the other side of the draw; while second seeds Kamiji from Japan and China's Zhu defeated Otani of Japan and Dutch player Griffioen 6-2, 6-0.

Young Dutch stars and top quad doubles seeds Sam Schröder and Niels Vink thrashed Heath Davidson of Australia and Robert Shaw of Canada 6-0, 6-1.

In the final, they face South African Donald Ramphadi and Ymanitu Silva of Brazil, who defeated Britain's Andy Lapthorne and American David Wagner 7-5, 6-3.
