Colombia are taking 24 athletes to the Pan and Parapan American Archery Championships in Chilean capital Santiago as the team look to repeat their remarkable medal haul from last year's event.

The nation topped the medals table in Monterrey with six gold, five silver and two bronze medals, including victory in all the compound events.

World champions Daniel Muñoz, Sebastian Arenas, Sara López, and Alejandra Usquiano are all in the team set to compete in Chile.

The event, scheduled to take place from tomorrow until Sunday (November 27), acts as a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Men's and women's individual competitions, men's and women's team events, and mixed team events are scheduled in recurve, compound, and barebow for the first time.

Para athletes are set to compete in the men's W1, women's W1 and visually impaired categories.

The United States are taking one of the biggest delegations to the Pan and Parapan American Archery Championships as they are set to be represented by 38 athletes at the Bernardo O'Higgins National Military Academy in Las Condes County.

Americans did not achieve a single podium place at the last edition but have a selection of medal contenders this time out.

World Championship recurve silver medallist Casey Kaufhold is one of the country's main hopes.

The 18-year-old was part of her nation's mixed team gold medal-winning sides at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games and Cali 2021 Junior Pan American Games before also being involved in the team win at the Archery World Cup leg in Paris this year.

Competition begins tomorrow with the qualification rounds in all categories before the first medals are to won in the men's and women's team events on Wednesday (November 23).
