The New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS) has partnered with Sydney-based clothing manufacturer Valour to provide the apparel for its athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Athletes from the high performance sporting body are coming off the back of winning 25 medals at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

They also set seven Games records.

Minister for Sport Alister Henskens claimed that Valour's clothing will give NSWIS athletes an extra boost to succeed.

"Our best athletes need the best gear to perform at their peak and Valour’s cutting-edge clothing will ensure our NSWIS athletes are ready to compete against the world’s best," he added.

"NSWIS provides world leading coaching, performance support and daily training environments to support athletes to achieve podium performances and the focus right now is on Paris 2024 and Brisbane 2032."

Kevin Thompson, the chief executive of NSWIS, concurred with Hensken's assessment.

He said: "Each garment has been developed and put the test by a selection of world class NSWIS athletes and coaches to ensure they reach peak levels every time."
