Italy finished the Shotgun World Championships in Osijek in Croatia as the most dominant nation with 14 medals - seven golds, five silvers and two bronzes.

On the final day, the Europeans were involved in a thrilling men's team skeet final against the United States.

The gold medal match ended 5-5 before Tammaro Cassandro, Elia Sdruccioli and Gabriele Rossetti helped Italy triumph 12-11 in a shoot-off against Americans Dustan Taylor, Christian Elliott and Vincent Hancock.

Czech Republic bagged the bronze medal after registering a 7-3 win over Cyprus.

The women's team skeet final saw the United States get one back against the Italians.

Dania Vizzi, Austen Smith and Samantha Simonton were absolutely dominant as they beat Chiara Cainero, Chiara Di Marziantonio and Rio 2016 gold medallist Dianna Bacosi 6-0 in the gold medal match.

The bronze medal match ended in a shoot-off with China getting the better of Germany 11-10.

Britain were the second best team in the tournament and bagged eight medals - four golds and four silvers.

The United States rounded off the top-three with nine medals.

Today’s gold helped the US total four, followed by three silvers and two bronze medals.

China and India finished fourth and fifth respectively with four medals each.

The Chinese bagged one gold, two silvers and one bronze while India had one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
