Romania's Apor Györgydeák is the new men's singles world number one after the International Federation of Teqball updated its rankings following last month's action.

Györgydeák claimed victory at the World Series in Kraków to leapfrog Hungary's back-to-back world champion Ádám Blázsovics.

Julien Grondin of France is third and Poland's Adrian Duszak has overtaken Hungary's Csaba Bányik to sit fourth.

Bányik has slipped to fifth but his compatriot Martin Csereklye is a big mover, breaking into the top ten after climbing four spots to seventh.

This rankings update is crucial as it will determine the seedings for next month's World Championships in Nuremberg.

As well as the World Series, the European Teqball Tour event in Budapest was also taken into account.

In the women's standings there has been significant upheaval although world champion Anna Izsák of Hungary remains as world number one.

The rest of the top 10 has completely changed, including a huge move for Hungarian Krisztina Ács who jumps from 73rd to second after winning in Krakow.

Paulina Lezak of Poland and Carolyn Greco of the United States have both fallen one place to third and fourth respectively, while Boglarka Nagy of Hungary has leapt 11 places to fifth.

Rafaella Fontes of Brazil previously did not have a ranking but is now sixth in the world after reaching the Krakow final.

The World Championships in Nuremberg are scheduled for between November 23 and 27 at the Kia Metropol Arena.
