Veysonnaz in Switzerland is all set to host the final event of the Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross World Cup seasons with both men's titles still there to be won while the women's overall victories have been secured.

The action is scheduled to begin tomorrow in Sion with the skiing event before the snowboarding decider on Sunday (March 20).

Ryan Regez of Switzerland currently leads the men's ski cross standings with 527 points thanks to his three victories in the season so far.

The Beijing 2022 gold medallist is followed by Frenchmen Terence Tchiknavorian and Bastien Midol on 486 and 445 points, respectively.

Meanwhile in the women's ski cross, Sweden's Sandra Näslund has dominated the calendar with 10 wins out of 11 so far.

That has helped her to develop an insurmountable lead of 1,050 points.

The rest of the podium places are still up for grabs, however, with Switzerland's Fanny Smith and Marielle Thompson currently rounding out the top three on 581 and 469 points, respectively.

Germany's Pyeongchang 2018 Olympian Martin Nörl is in pole position in the men's snowboard cross by a slender 45 points over Austria's Beijing 2022 champion Alessandro Hämmerle on 386 points.

Hämmerle's compatriot Jakob Dusek has a guaranteed bronze medal on 364 points but could steal silver with a good performance.

Britain's Charlotte Bankes' 569 points sees her safely atop the women's standings after seven of eight legs this season.

Michela Moioli of Italy and Chloé Trespeuch of France cannot be replaced on the podium but an enthralling battle for silver is in store as they sit on 456 and 435 points, respectively.

Veysonnaz was recently announced as the new host for the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski and Snowboard Cross Junior World Championships which was originally set to take place in Chiesa in Valmalenco.

The Italian commune had to withdraw as host due to a lack of snow, resulting in the change, with the event due to take place from March 29 to April 1.
