Indonesia racked up a whopping 32 golds in a 72-medal haul on a dominant day at the Association of Southeast Asian Nation Para Games in Cambodian capital Phnom Penh.

Much of that success came in athletics where they claimed 13 golds, 13 silvers and nine bronzes in track and field at the Morodok Techo National Stadium.

The first of those was won by Rizal Bagus Saktyono who captured the men's javelin throw F46 crown.

Sapto Yogo Purnomo, Firza Faturahman Listianto, Nur Ferry Pradana and Ruli Al Kahfi Mubaroq and Eko Saputra won the men’s 100 metres titles in the respective T37, T46 and T47, T11 and T12 classes.

There was also success in the women’s 100m with Ni Made Arianti Putri claiming the T12 title.


All of six of the medals won by Indonesia in Para powerlifting were gold with Margono Margono, Rani Puji Astuti and Shebrioni Shebrioni all picking up two titles each.

Indonesia dominated the Para judo competition, winning four golds and three silvers and they also achieved seven golds and five silvers in table tennis.

They continued to top the Para swimming standings but their lead has been cut by Thailand who won 16 medals today including three golds, six silvers and seven bronzes.

Malaysia had a day to remember in the pool, earning seven titles in a 13-medal haul, while Vietnam bagged six golds.
