Canada's Philip Kim and Colombia's Luisa Fernanda Tejada Pulgarin won gold medals at the Pan American Breaking Championships in Santiago.

Kim, known as Phil Wizard, won the b-boys crown in Chile's capital after beating Jeffrey Mike Louis of the United States - known as Jeffro - in the final at the Hotel Cumbres Lastarria.

All nine judges gave the first round to Kim, and he then took the second 5-4.

In the third, Kim wrapped up victory with another unanimous performance.

It meant he backed up the display which saw him win at FISE Montpellier earlier this month.

Pulgarin, known as Luma, saw off Grace Choi, or Sunny, of the US in the b-girls final.

The Colombian took the first round 8-1 on the scorecards before Choi struck back in round two with a 7-2 success.

Round three went to Pulgarin by the narrowest of margins - 5-4.

Breaking is due to make its Olympic debut at Paris 2024.

It will also feature at this year's Pan American Games, also due to take place in Santiago in November, where Olympic places will be on offer.
