Day three saw clubs and ribbon qualifiers taking place with Darja Varfolomeev of Germany and Viktoriia Onopriienko of Ukraine taking maximum points.

Onopriienko scored 32.050 to come first in the ribbon qualifier with Varfolomeev finishing second with 31.400.

Ekaterina Vedeneeva of Russia, who has been competing for Slovenia since 2018, was the third best with the ribbon, scoring 31.150.

Bulgarian Eva Brezalieva and Adi Asya Katz of Israel came also made the cut with 31.000 and 30.900 points, respectively.

Four-time World Championships medallist Stiliana Nikolova of Bulgaria only managed to finish eighth, bagging 30.400 points.

Clubs world champion Varfolomeev had more joy when she topped the clubs qualifier with 31.900 points.

World Championships silver medallist Boryana Kaleyn of Bulgaria came second in the category with 31.150 and Azerbaijani Zohra Aghamirova was the third best with 31.050 points.

Italian all-around world champion Sofia Raffaeli finished fourth with 30.750 points while Onopriienko rounded off the top five with a score of 30.300.

After the four qualifying events, Bulgarians Nikolova and Kaleyn finished as the best athletes, with both of them scoring 97.850 overall.

The 17-year-old  Nikolova took the top spot as he managed the best total of top two scores.

She finished as the best gymnast in the ball and got a third place in the hoop.

Her compatriot Kaleyn finished in the top three on three events.

A score of 96.950 helped Varfolomeev rank third overall.

Competition is due to continue tomorrow with the all-around finals.
