Nguyen Quoc Toan won the men's 89 kilograms weightlifting for Vietnam, with the women's over-71kg crown going to Duangaksorn Chaidee of Thailand.

Vietnam also won the men's over-89kg competition as Dinh Thang Tran came out on top.
