The 2023-2024 International Biathlon Union (IBU) World Cup season is due to start in Östersund in Sweden on November 25 and conclude with a return to North America for the first time since 2019.

A nine-stop IBU World Cup is set to begin with mixed relays in Östersund, where competition is scheduled to run until December 3.

Hochfilzen in Austria and Lenzerheide in Switzerland are then due to host events from December 8 to 10 and December 14 to 17 respectively to conclude 2023.

Back-to-back World Cups in Germany are due to start 2024 in Oberhof from January 4 to 7 and Ruhpolding from January 10 to 14, followed by competition at the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics venue in Antholz-Anterselva in Italy from January 18 to 21.

Nové Město na Moravě in Czech Republic has already been named as the host for the 2024 IBU World Championships, with the event scheduled for February 7 to 18.

Oslo Holmenkollen in Norway is the final World Cup host in Europe for next season from February 29 to March 3, before the circuit returns to North America for the first time since the 2018-2019 season.

Soldier Hollow in the American state of Utah is due to host the penultimate stop from March 8 to 10, followed by the season finale in Canmore, Canada from March 14 to 17.

Schedules for the IBU Cup and IBU Junior Cup are due to be finalised in due course.

Johannes Thingnes Bø of Norway dominated the men's World Cup last season and earned his fourth Crystal Globe, while France's Julia Simon topped the overall women's standings.

Russian and Belarusian athletes were unable to participate at last season's World Cup events because of the war in Ukraine.
