"Turin 2025 and JTWIA share values such as environmental and economic sustainability, they focus strongly on gender equality and are inclusive events to embrace our beautiful planet and all its inhabitants," a statement from Turin 2025 read.

"The 32nd winter edition of the FISU Games has set itself the goal to involve the region, enthuse it with its stories and make it participate in an event made by young people for young people."

The JTWIA has run since 2014 and is organised by the University Sports Center of Turin in collaboration with the University of Turin and the Polytechnic University of Turin.

Turin is scheduled to stage the FISU Games from January 13 to 23 in 2025.
