It is set to allow the BWF Integrity Unit to gather intelligence on matches or competitions connected to suspicious betting activity, potentially paving the way for an investigation.

Stats Perform is also due to provide tools including integrity education, intelligence analysis support and integrity analysis.

This forms an additional part of the BWF's efforts to deter match manipulation, with live-time betting markets monitoring continuing to be a key tool.

BWF secretary general Thomas Lund believes the partnership will help to safeguard the integrity of its major events.

"Having Stats Perform onboard will strengthen our commitment to protecting the integrity of the sport from betting-related corruption," the Danish official said.

"We now have top industry standard resources at our disposal to monitor suspicious betting activity taking place at HSBC BWF World Tour tournaments and BWF Major Championships."

Stats Perform chief executive Carl Mergele said the BWF is a "key partner", and its global head of integrity services Jack Marsh underlined the importance of the collaboration.

"We are delighted to add BWF to our stable of clients and deliver a progressive approach to integrity risk management that will see us working closely with the international governing body’s own integrity unit to protect the sport from match manipulation and related threats," Marsh said.

Stats Perform entered an agreement with the BWF to become the exclusive live stream distributor and provide real-time stats from its events to licensed betting operators from January 2022.
