China's Kong Fanyu secured first place in the women's aerials while Switzerland's Noe Roth won the men's title at the 2023 International Ski and Snowboard Federation Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski World Championships in Bakuriani.

Kong finished the super final with a score of 85.30 points, edging past Australia's Danielle Scott to win the first gold medal of her career. 

Scott managed to accumulate a score of 83.84 points, which led to her second silver in the World Championships, having got one in Sierra Nevada in 2017, and a bronze in Voss in 2013.

Third place went to Anastasiya Novosad from Ukraine, who already has a bronze from the team events earlier in the competition.

Roth scored a grand total of 118.59 points, achieving the first aerials gold in Swiss World Championships history.

American Quinn Dehlinger secured a second place finish after scoring 114.48 points. 

His debut at the World Championships saw him finish with two medals, as he also won a gold in the team events.

China finished with two medals in the aerials as Yang Longxiao finished in the men's event. 

Only 20-years-old, Yang reached 110.18 points.

The tournament will resume with the individual moguls on February 25, with dual event set for February 26.
