Former National Basketball Association (NBA) player Chase Budinger has joined forces with Miles Evans as the pair look to qualify for the Paris 2024 beach volleyball tournament.

The duo have played against each other on numerous occasions, with Budinger emerging victorious except for their last match-up at the Manhattan Beach Open when Evans and his teammate Andy Benesh defeated Budinger and Troy Field.

Budinger changed sport in 2018 after retiring from professional basketball.

He had played for the Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns, and had a one-year spell at Spanish club Baskonia.

Evans has four gold, six silver and four bronze medals to his resume, gaining first place in the 2017 World Tour with Field, as well as winning two medals on the Association of Volleyball Professionals Tour, and one on the Norceca Continental Circuit.
