Lamparter claimed the yellow bib for the first time this season with back-to-back victories at his home event in Seefeld last week, and topped the scoring in the ski jumping element in the German resort on the Schattenbergschanze large hill.

He jumped 139.0 metres to score 151.9 points, giving him a 15 second lead over compatriot Franz-Josef Rehrl who scored 148.1 from 135.5m.

Norway's Jens Lurås Oftebro ranked seventh with 136.7 points from a 132.5m jump in the first half of the competition, meaning he started 1:01 off the pace.

Lamparter held off the competition with a 23min 25.0sec effort in the 10 kilometres cross-country skiing to claim victory at the Ried Cross-Country Stadium.

Rehrl completed the 10km in 23:32.3, but was relegated to third place on the last uphill after being caught by Oftebro, who clocked the quickest time of 22:43.4 and finished 19.4 adrift of Lamparter.

Rehrl was 22.3 off the pace.

Austria's Mario Seidl dropped from third in the ski jumping to seventh.

The victory extended Lamparter's lead on the World Cup, moving him onto 995 points to the 844 of Oftebro.

Germany's Julian Schmid also has 844 points in third, and placed fourth at his home event, finishing 27.6sec behind Lamparter.

Lamparter also has a lead of more than one minute in the German Trophy rankings, which covers the six World Cups scheduled to be held in Germany.

He is 1:03 clear of Rehrl after three events.

Oberstdorf is due to host another large hill and 10km competition tomorrow.
