In the single mixed relay Norway’s pair of Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold earned victory in 38min 54.1sec.

Christiansen and Tandrevold claimed a runaway victory at the Pokljuka Sport Center, using just five spare rounds, and were never challenged after the first exchange as they won by 41 seconds.

France’s duo of Antonin Guigonnat and Lou Jeanmonnot took silver in 39:35.1, with the podium being completed by Switzerland’s Niklas Hartweg and Amy Baserga in 39:43.7.

For Switzerland it was a first-ever single mixed relay podium, as well as a first for Baserga at a World Cup, an experience she described as "absolutely amazing."

In the 4x7.5km mixed relay, France’s quartet of Fabien Claude, Quentin Fillon Maillet, Anais Chevalier-Bouchet and Julia Simon took the victory in 1hr 19min 48.9sec.

France’s team finished with one penalty and seven spare rounds, with Simon continuing her hot streak of form as she managed a perfect prone stage, a one-spare standing stage and skied aggressively to triumph by 24 seconds.

Silver went to Italy’s team of Didier Bionaz, Tommaso Giacomel, Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi in 1:20:13.5.

The podium was completed by Sweden’s quartet of Jesper Nelin, Martin Ponsiluoma, Mona Brorsson and Elvira Öberg in 1:20:36.1. 

"It was a really good team effort," said Simon, part of the winning French quartet.

"It was nice to race in the first mixed relay of the season. Good performance for us."
