The 2021 world champion was one of the quickest on the skiing section of the men's mass start normal hill/10 kilometres competition and backed it up with the best jump to finish with a total of 133.8 points.

Ilkka Herola of Finland recorded the second-best jump, but was not as quick as Lamparter on the skiing.

Still, he secured 124.1 points for silver, in front of a second Austrian, Thomas Rettenegger on 116.7.

Germans Julian Schmid and Manuel Faißt completed the top five.

It was Lamparter's first victory of the season, which moved him up to fifth in the overall season standings.

Notably, young Norwegian Jens Lurås Oftebro and Ryota Yamamoto of Japan were unable to eat into the lead of Jarl Magnus Riiber as much as they would like, finishing 11th and sixth respectively.

Oftebro closed the gap to 59 points to Riiber, with his Norwegian compatriot currently sidelined with an intestinal parasite.

Jumping was cancelled in the women's event due to wind conditions, however, the cross-country stage still took place, prior to normal hill competition tomorrow.

Norwegian Gyda Westvold Hansen, who has won every stage of the World Cup so far this season, was quickest in the cross-country in 13min 36.6sec over five kilometres.

Her compatriot Ida Marie Hagen was second, just 0.7 seconds behind, with the pair more than 10 seconds in front of third-placed Ema Volavsek of Slovenia.
