The competition is due to take place in Belgrade's Štark Arena from February 11 to 18 next year.

Until December 21, the world's best countries had the priority option to enter one athlete in each weight division in accordance with the IMMAF rankings from November 7.

Remaining national delegations now have until January 6 to register one athlete in each category.

After this date, depending on space, the top 32 teams will have the chance to enter a second athlete in each division by January 9.

The other countries can then do the same on a first come first served basis by January 13.

In the Serbian capital, there are set to be six weight categories in the women's tournaments, from atomweight to lightweight, and ten for male athletes, from strawweight to super heavyweight.

Both senior and junior competitions are set to take place.

The 2022 World Championships will be the first edition of the competition to take place following the introduction of closed continental championships.
