The Romanian Teqball Federation (FRTEQ) has gifted the UMFST GE Palade University in Târgu Mureș a teqball table as part of an educational project aimed at attracting youngsters to the sport.

The UMFST GE Palade University was selected based on a cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Education and FRTEQ.

Through the initiative, FRTEQ aims promote teqball and equip educational institutions with teqball tables.

The UMFST GE Palade University hosted qualification events in the country in the build-up to this year’s World Championship in Nuremberg.

The handover of the teqball table took place at the Sports Hall Dr. Anton Pongrnd on December 19.

Demonstration matches were held afterwards for UMFST students.

Teodor Luca, President of FRTEQ, was present at the event.

World number one Apor Györgydeák of Romania won the men's singles gold medal with a victory over Poland's Adrian Duszak at the World Championships.
