Gibson, the European indoor champion and two-time World Cup winner, defeated the defending champion Sara López of Colombia in the women's final 148-142.

It was the third Games in a row that López had made the podium, having finished third in Cali in 2013.

The 22-year-old Briton made the final by a winning a shoot-off with American Paige Pearce and the Colombian defeated Toja Ellison of Slovenia 148-143.

For bronze, Pearce won 148-145 over Ellison.

Becerra defeated Canada's Christopher Perkins 147-145 to make the final, where he was joined by France's Jean-Philippe Boulch, the winner of the other semi-final against India's Abhishek Verma by a 143-141 margin.

The Mexican then claimed the gold medal in the final by a 147-146 score to Boulch, while Perkins won 148-145 against Verma for bronze.

It was Becerra's first major medal, making it matter the most in one of compound archery's biggest competitions.

Boulch added the World Games silver to his silver from the European Indoor Championships earlier this year.

Sara López then teamed up with Daniel Muñoz to win another gold for medal table leaders Colombia in the mixed team event.

They won a shoot-off against Dutch pair Jody Beckers and world number one Mike Schloesser after being tied at 154-154.

India's Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Abhishek Verma defeated Andrea Becerra and Miguel Becerra of Mexico for the bronze by a score of 157-156.

Elsewhere at the Games, Germany and Lithuania claimed golds on the dancefloor at the Legacy Arena.

Michelle Uhl and Tobias Bludau claimed gold for Germany in the rock 'n' roll acrobatic finals with a score of 102.38, holding off the Swiss pair of Noemi and Nicolas Kuran-Pellegatta on 98.95.

Anna Sturm and Matthias Feichtinger of Austria were the bronze medallists with a total of 92.95.

Ieva Zukauskaite and Evaldas Sodeika gave Lithuania its first gold of the Games in the quickstep final, scoring 39.00 to defeat Italians Debora Pacini and Francesco Galuppo by 0.25 points.

A second Lithuanian team made the podium thanks to Veronika Golodneva and Vaidotas Lacitis, who scored 37.25.
