Three candidates will join the FITEQ Executive Board ©FITEQ

The International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) has confirmed candidates for Executive Board positions, set to be decided at the organisation’s General Assembly.

FITEQ confirmed the candidates for additional seats on the Executive Board, with contenders seeking to fill three posts.

One position will be filled by a candidate nominated by National Federations.

South Korea’s Kiho Lee, Uruguay’s Daniel Conti, Peru’s Ricardo M. Avila, Sri Lanka’s Gamini Jayasinghe and Romania’s Vlad Podar are among the candidates.

Austria’s Alexandra Koncar, Ghana’s Dzormo Adzekwei, France’s Jawad El Hajri, Zimbabwe’s Xolisani Gwesela, Poland’s Michał Listkiewicz and Lawrence Tapiwa of Zimbabwe are also in contention for the position.

FITEQ say the candidacies of Lee, Jayasinghe, Adzekwei, Gwesela and Tapiwa are provisional.

Their candidacies will be made official should if certain documents and-or amending certain statements are provided by a supplementary deadline.

The deadline is December 3.

Portugal’s Rui Jorge Marques Leitão has been provisionally approved as a candidate for the athletes’ position.

FITEQ has nominated Cape Verde’s Filomena Fortes for the final Executive Board position.

Fortes is the current Cape Verdea Olympic Committee President.

She is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and serves on the organisation’s Future Host Commission.

FITEQ said the deadline for applications passed on October 12, with an independent Ad Hoc Ethics and Disciplinary Committee having assessed the candidates since.

National Federations will vote via secret ballot during the FITEQ General Assembly, which will be held via videoconference.

The elected individuals will join the FITEQ Executive Board with immediate effect after the conclusion of the General Assembly.

The Executive Board currently includes FITEQ President Gábor Borsányi, chair Viktor Huszár, vice-president György Gattyán and general secretary Marius Vizer Jr.
