International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) chairman Viktor Huszár and general secretary Marius Vizer Jr have met with Algerian Olympic Committee (COA) leaders on a visit to the country.

COA President Abderrahmane Hammad hosted Huszár and Vizer at his office today.

The FITEQ officials had earlier met Yacine Silini, President of the Algerian Judo Federation and also a COA Executive Board member, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Establishing a National Federation for teqball was among the topics discussed, according to the COA, while gifts were also exchanged.

FITEQ lists Algeria as one of its 36 African members.

Teqball was a demonstration sport at the 2019 African Beach Games in Sal in Cape Verde.

Huszár, in a gest blog for insidethegames, detailed earlier this month how the International Federation is focusing its Olympic aspirations on Los Angeles 2028.
