Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria has been re-elected as Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) President on a second four-year term after standing unopposed.

The OCM election took place on Friday (August 27).

Norza was seeking a second term in office having been elected for the first time back in 2018.

The Badminton Association of Malaysia President succeeded Prince Tunku Imran, who had led the organisation since 1999.

Norza’s latest term will see him remain in office until 2025.

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games will be among key events on the agenda in the early stages of his term.

The four-year spell will also include the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.


Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin was confirmed as the OCM’s Deputy President at the meeting.

Treasurer and assistant secretary general positions were voted for at the meeting.

Dato' Ahmad Feisal Ahmad Tajuddin was confirmed as treasurer after standing unopposed.

Moira Tan Siew See faced no competition for the assistant secretary general role.
