Constanta in Romania hosts the penultimate regular-season stop of the International Basketball Federation 3x3 Women's Series this weekend, with teams jostling for position in the all-important season standings.

Spain enter the event top of the pile, having picked up 260 points across the first four legs of the season, but the side who beat them at the last event in Lithuanian city Klaipeda - the United States - will be back for just their second appearance of the 3x3 Women's Series season.

The Americans are in Pool B, along with hosts Romania and Canada, while Spain, the Dutch and Austria are in Pool C.

Only one player from the victorious US team in Klaipeda - Breanna Richardson - will be playing this weekend, however.

Russia, second in the season standings, are in Pool A with Germany and Hungary, while an under-25 Russian side, Poland and Slovakia make up Pool D.

France, who have won both legs they have contested so far this season and were the 2019 champions, will be absent, opening up the competition.

One regular-season leg follows Constanta, in Montreal, before the circuit returns to Romania for the end-of-season finale in Bucharest.

Romania have already qualified as hosts, and will be joined by the seven teams with the most points after Montreal.

This season, the winners of the Bucharest final will be crowned overall 3x3 Women's Series champions.
