Kasimov, who is also President of the Uzbekistan Teqball Federation, told FITEQ President Gabor Borsányi and chairman Viktor Huszar that despite the challenges over the past year with the COVID-19 pandemic, the sport has continued to grow in his country.

From offering financial and infrastructural support, to leading training programmes for coaches and referees, FITEQ is working in collaboration with the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Teqball Federation to inspire people across the country to lead a more active and healthier life through playing teqball.

There are now 112 national teqball federations across all five continents.
