The Israeli, Cypriot and Greek National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) have signed a mutual cooperation and collaboration agreement to promote Paralympic sports and athletes in their countries.

The agreement is a result of initiation raised by the three NPC’s Presidents at the 2018 International Paralympic Committee General Assembly, and further discussed at the European Paralympic Committee General Assembly in Israel.

To celebrate the mutual agreement, a ceremony was held at Nazareth Golden Crown Hotel in Israel, which hosted the wheelchair basketball European Championships in 2011.

Following the ceremony, a meeting was held to discuss the implementation of the agreement on how to promote sports and their athletes.

A two-day goalball tournament also took place, which included three national team members from Greece and Israel.

During the event Israel’s national head coach mentored a Cypriot fellow coach in order to pass on knowledge in helping the country develop goalball.

A coach's clinic was also conducted and presented a new system measuring and monitoring the ball movement that was invented by a group of scientists in collaboration with NPC Israel’s Science and Technology department.
