The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) have announced that they have begun their search for both junior and senior goalball tournaments from 2018 to 2020.

The events that the organisation are looking for hosts of are the 2018 Youth Regional Championships of Africa and the Asia Pacific region, the 2019 Regional Tokyo 2020 Qualifying Tournaments for Africa, Europe and the Asia Pacific region, the 2019 World Youth Championships as well as the 2020 Youth Regional Championships for Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Asia Pacific region.

The proposed dates for the Championships must fall between April 1 and November 30 of the competition year.

The IBSA stipulate that applications, which must be submitted by Friday (May 4), must state clearly whether the potential host is bidding to host championships for both men and women, men's or women's only, or boys and girls.

The proposed location, including the venue, must also be in the application.

Applicants must also name the closest major airport and provide transportation plans for travel between the airport and the venue along with financial plans including proposed revenue sources, expenses and anticipated tournament costs.

Bids for any of the four Championships must be accompanied by a letter of support from the applicant’s IBSA Member Federation.
