France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Italy, Ukraine and Chinese Taipei all booked their spots in the Brazilian city while in last-chance saloon.

Twelve teams will compete in the men's and women's tournaments in Rio in all, with eight in each determined at a qualification tournament in Copenhagen last year.

Brazil, as host nation, are also automatically selected for both competitions to leave three spots available in Antalya.

The Rio qualifier formed part of the Archery World Cup which is ongoing at the Turkish venue.

The French, Indonesia and Malaysian teams came through on the men's side, with second-seeds Mexico, who were fourth at London 2012, missing out.

“We were very nervous, I don’t know how to explain it,” said Malaysia's Haziq Kamaruddin after his country's place was decided by a victory over Germany.

“But we had a lot of fight, and we’ve had a plan for a long time.”

Italy, Ukraine and Chinese Taipei were the qualifiers in the women's event.

“We’re happy we made it because we believed from the day we arrived here that it was possible to make it,” said Italian Guendalina Sartori. 

Australia, China, Italy, South Korea, The Netherlands, Spain, Chinese Taipei and United States all qualified for the men's event in Copenhagen.

The women's qualifiers in the Danish capital were Canada, Colombia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Ukraine and Venezuela.
