Emma Twigg and Kim Brennan are due to resume their antipodean rowing rivalry for the first time since 2014 at the third-leg of the World Rowing Cup, which starts tomorrow in Poznan.

It will mark the final major international regatta before the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Twigg returned to the global stage triumphantly last month by winning the final qualification regatta after returning from a break from the sport after the 2014 World Championships.

The New Zealander beat Australian rival Brennan on that occasion to avenge her defeat at the 2013 event.

But Brennan has since claimed the 2015 crown and will be keen to continue her dominant streak heading into the Games.

Another New Zealander looking to continue good form will be Mahe Drysdale in the men's single sculls.

The reigning Olympic champion beat Czech Republic rival Ondrej Synek in Lucerne last month and the duo will lock horns again.

Dominant Kiwi duo Eric Murray and Hamish Bond will also look to continue their seven year unbeaten streak in the men's pair.

Two British duos will provide stern opposition in Matthew Tarrant and Nathaniel Reilly-O’Donnell, and Alan Sinclair and Stewart Innes.

Britain's world champion men's eight will also be smarting for revenge after slumping to fourth in Lucerne behind The Netherlands, Germany and United States.

Action will begin tomorrow and end on Sunday (June 19).
