The Tunisian World Championships bronze medallist overcame Olympic medal winner Rafael Silva of Brazil in the men's over 100 kilograms competition in the Turkish city.

"It's a very good result for me," Jaballah said.

"I needed that for my personal motivation.

"In Düsseldorf I wasn't good but here I found the necessary resources to make my way to the top of the podium.

"The next important event for me will be the African Championships in Gabon, but my objective is the Olympic podium."

The two bronze medals in the weight class went to Iurii Krakovetskii of Kyrgyzstan and Hungary's Barna Bor after they defeated Azerbaijan's Ushangi Kokauri and Ukrainian Iakiv khammo.

The men's under 100kg competition saw the favourite, Elmar Gasimov, going to the top of the podium.

The Azerbaijani European medallist faced German world bronze medal winner Karl-Richard Frey in the final, who proved no match for Gasimov and was defeated by score a waza-ari.

Frey's compatriot Dimitri Peters and Russian Arsen Omarov secured the bronze medals with wins over Iran's Javad Mahjoub and Belgian Toma Nikiforov.

The final men's competition of the Grand Prix saw Noël Van't End of The Netherlands claiming gold in the under 90kg, ahead of Serbian silver medallist Aleksandar Kukolj, and bronze medallists Sherali Juraev of Uzbekistan and Islam Bozbayev of Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, there was gold for France's Madeleine Malonga in the women's under 78kg final.

She defeated British Commonwealth Games champion Natalie Powell to top the podium, while Ukraine's Viktoriya Turks and German Luise Malzahn claimed the bronze medals.

The last women's category of the event, the over 78kg, saw the win going to China, thanks to Sisi Ma ousted Tunisia's Nihel Cheikh Rouhou for ippon.

German Jasmin Kuelbs and Kim Jiyoun of South Korea secured victories in their respective bronze medal matches to complete the podium.

The next World Judo Tour event will take place in Croatia with the Zagreb Grand Prix from May 1 to 3.
