TSE Consulting has launched a new sport management conference ©TSE ConsultingA new management conference, dedicated to examining the challenges sport faces and looking to different industries to see what can be used in sport, has been launched by TSE Consulting.

The conference, called "The Academy", is due to take place on May 27 and 28 next year at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne and will allow participants, expected to be Presidents, Board members, secretary generals and global senior sport managers, to discover new management techniques for their organisations, it is claimed.

The Academy is designed to be a platform for every person working in sport that is looking for new insights and the right tools to put those insights into action.

"We are often asked by our clients where they can go as national sports leaders to learn something new they can use in their own context - we never had a response, so we decided to create a platform," Lars Haue-Pedersen, TSE Consulting managing director, said.

"We are very excited as this is just a first step for us in our commitment to taking sports management to new levels."

As the global centre of sports administration, Lausanne is the perfect stage for the international conference.

Patrice Iseli, head of sports for City of Lausanne, added: "We look forward to welcoming participants of The Academy to Lausanne.

"As the Olympic capital and home of international sport, we have many new and innovative ideas that are born here.

"The Academy is the latest of these initiatives and we are extremely proud to be the host city."
