Tickets for diving, fencing, handball and swimming were previously unavailable until now while additional tickets have been released for fast selling sports at the Games such as athletics, gymnastics, basketball, equestrian, modern pentathlon, shooting and taekwondo.

As well as tickets for public sale, Singapore 2010 organisers have also set aside a proportion of tickets for specialty client groups including the International Olympic Committee (IOC), National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and various other International Federations.

The sporting competition tickets are priced at S$10 (£5) for the preliminary stages, S$15 (£7.20) for quarter and semi-finals and S$30 (£14.40) for finals.

The exception to this pricing is in the football event where Jalan Besar Stadium is the only competition venue that has both covered and uncovered seating galleries.

Tickets to the uncovered gallery will be S$5 (£2.50) for the preliminary stages, S$7.50 (£3.60) for quarter and semi-finals and S$15 (£7.20) for finals.

Each ticket purchased is accompanied by a Singapore 2010 DBS VISA Prepaid Companion Cards which allow holders four train rides and unlimited bus rides for one day only during the August 14 and 26 when the Games are due to be held.
